Monthly Wrap Up

November Monthly Wrap Up

We are almost at the end of the year already! Wow this whole year has flown by. I haven’t had as much time to dedicate to blogging this month as I have been busy with my etsy shop as I had a burst of creativity and made quite a few new bookmarks and painted books. If you would like to check it out, the link is here.

I did manage to read some really great books though and some not so great ones. So here is what I read this month:

IMG_4242

Serpent and Dove by Shelby Mahurin – I was hooked from the beginning and I ended up loving it especially the enemies to lovers!

Rating: 4.5/5

The Fowl Twins by Eoin Colfer – I loved being back in the Artemis Fowl world and I cannot wait for the next book! You can read my review here

Rating: 5/5

Kingdom of Souls by Rena Barron – I really wanted to love this book but I just didn’t. While the world and the magic system was really great, I felt it was to slow and I got bored waiting for something to happen.

Rating: 3/5

Skein Island by Aliya Whiteley – I was sent this book as part of an IG tour and it was a really interesting read.

Rating: 3/5

Somebody Give This Heart a Pen by Sophia Thakur – I don’t usually read poetry books but this one intrigued me and I’m so glad that Walker Books sent me a copy as I really enjoyed it

Rating: 4/5

Trail of Lightning by Rebecca Roanhorse – A book that was recommended to me so when I saw it on netgalley I had to request it! I ended up really emjoying! You can read my full review here

Rating: 4/5

The Arabic Quilt by Aya Khalil – This is a picture book I was sent an arc of by the author and I adored it! It is such a wonderful story and has such great representation. I wish there was books like this around when I was a kid. My full review will be up soon!

Rating: 5/5

Postscript by Cecelia Ahern – I adored PS. I Love You so when this was released I was really excited and nervous to read it. It did not disappoint at all! I adored it!

Rating: 5/5

The Wicked King by Holly Black – I don’t understand the hype for this book. I was bored and skim read the last 100 pages and urm I don’t get how people ship Jude and Carden? Their relationship is so toxic. I don’t know if I will read QoN to be honest.

Rating: 2.5/5

A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Brigid Kemmerer – I reread this for the Curse Readalong and I actually enjoyed it more this time! I really love Harper and Grey! My full review will be up on my blog soon!

Rating: 4/5

Spellhacker by M.K. England – I really enjoyed this book and my full review will be up soon!

Rating: 4/5
