Top 5 Wednesday – Hyped 2019 Releases You Don’t Care About

This weeks topic is hyped 2019 releases I don’t care about.

There are so many amazing books being released this year and there’s some that I have been hearing about since last year but they just don’t appeal to me at all.

1 A Curse so Dark and Lonely by Bridget Kemmerer – I just don’t want to read any more beauty and the beast retellings. Can we get retellings of other stories please.

2 The Wicked King by Holly Black – I mean I did like The Cruel Prince but I didn’t love it so I’m not dying to read this.

3 Slayer by Kiersten White – I never really watched Buffy so I’m not that excited about reading this either

4 The Gilded Wolves by Roshani Chokshi – I didn’t like The Star Touched Queen that much so I’m not sure about reading this either

5 Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte – I don’t know why but it just doesn’t appeal to me

Is there any books coming out that everyone seems to be talking about but they just don’t appeal to you?

Top 10 Tuesday – Most Anticipated Releases for the First Half of 2019

This weeks topic is most anticipated releases for the first half of 2019.

There are so many amazing books coming out this year and I cannot wait for them all to be released but these are some of my most anticipated releases for the next six months.

1 King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo – I have been wanting this book ever since I first read about Nikolai Lanstov! I cannot wait!

2 Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus – I adored One Of Us Is Lying so I’m really looking forward to this one!

3 The Kingdom of Copper by S.A. Chakraborty – my most anticipated book of 2019! I cannot wait to be back in this world!

4 Kick the Moon by Muhammad Khan – I loved I am Thunder and this book deals with toxic masculinity so I am really looking forward to reading it

5 It’s Not About the Bruqa edited by Maryam Khan – I am so glad that books like these are being published and I cannot wait to read it!

6 The Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon – This book has dragons! I’ve heard so many great things and I cannot wait to read it!

7 The Extinction Trials Rebel by S.M. Wilson – I really need Lincoln and Storm to be safe and I want to see more dinosaurs!

8 Nyxia Unleashed by Scott Reintgen – I seriously need to know how this series will end!

9 We Hunt the Flame by Hafsah Faizal – I need this book already!

10 Love from A to Z by S.K. Ali – I made the mistake of reading an extract and I just need the rest of the book already!

Beat The Backlist 2019 TBR

So I’m taking part in the Beat the Backlist challenge for 2019 as I have so many unread books that have been sitting on my shelf for far too long! I thought this would be the best way to actually get through these books instead of mainly reading the new releases. I’m really looking forward to taking part!

Top 10 Tuesday – Backlist Books I Want to Read

This weeks post is about backlist books I want to read.

There are so many books that I have on my shelves unread and yet, I continue to buy books. It’s beginning to get out of hand and I seriously need to read the books that have been sitting there for ages. I know there are some great books, but there’s so many books and so little time. I also find that a lot of my backlist books are ebooks. I always seem to overlook these books when I’m deciding what book to read.

But these are the books I really want to get to:

1 And I Darken – I keep hearing amazing things about this book and I won the first in the trilogy in a giveaway so I really want to read it

2 Truthwitch – another book I keep hearing great things about but I still haven’t got to yet

3 Dorothy Must Die – a wizard of oz retelling?! I knew I had to buy it when I saw it but I just haven’t got round to reading it

4 Air Awakens – I know I will love this book but gahhh still haven’t read it!

5 The Queen of the Tearling – I picked this up because the cover looked pretty but I haven’t got round to reading it yet

6 Graceling – yet another book that I have heard amazing things about but I haven’t read yet

7 The Forbidden Wish – this is an Aladdin retelling so I just had to get it. I hope it’s good!

8 Iron Gold – tbh I’m pretty scared to read this book. The Red Rising trilogy was brutal and heart breaking and I’m not sure I’m ready to have my heart broken again

9 Invictus – this is totally my type of book so I’m hoping to read it soon

10 This Mortal Coil – with the release of book 2 this book is now high up on my tbr hopefully I will read it either this month or next

So these are the books that I really want to read soon especially as they have been on my tbr for far too long!

So I always try to read books by my favourite authors as soon as they release but sometimes I’m too busy at the time they release to read them and then they just get pushed further and further down my tbr. But I do want to read these sometime soon!

Each of these books have been highly anticipated releases for me this year and I really want to read them soon! My tbr is crazy as I’m sure you can all relate and I sometimes wonder if I will ever get through all of my books!

However these are books that I definitely want to read hopefully by the end of the year. So lets see how I get on!
