Friday Favourites – Favourite Bromances

This was hosted by Something of the Book who created this tag out of a love for lists. Now Geeky is taking over the tag. There are different topics for us all to be able to take part and you can find the prompts here. There isn’t a specific number of favourites so it’s entirely up to you how many you share.

I love seeing bromances in books so much! The love and banter between them is so great to see. I decided that I am going to share some of my favourite bromances in books and on TV as I have some that I love from my favourites shows too.

So here is my favourite bromances:

1 Dorian and Chaol from Throne of Glass – I love them two so much and all I wanted to see in KoA was their reunion

2 Arthur and Merlin from Merlin – omg these two are my absolute faves! Their banter and sass and how they secretly do care for each other. *chefs kisses*

3 Will and Jem from The Infernal Devices – My favourite shadowhunters! I loved their relationship so much.

4 Toni and McGee from NCIS – I love watching old episodes with them both in it and their banter.

5 Jesper and Kaz from Six of Crows – Not the most obvious one but they do care for each other (no matter how much Kaz would deny it)

6 Sherlock and Watson from BBC Sherlock – Love this show so much because of their relationship

7 Percy and Grover from Percy Jackson & the Olympians – They have an empath link! Their friendship is the sweetest!

8 Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli from Lord of the Rings – These three were my faves in the film! Especially Gimli and Legolas!

9 Darrow and Sevro from Red Rising – I loved how they always had each others back in the books no matter what.

10 Spock and Kirk from Star Trek – I loved seeing their friendship grow and how much they ended up trusting each other.

Who Would You Fancast As Your Favourite Book Characters?

With the recent cast announcement for the Shadow and Bone Netflix show it had me thinking about who I would cast for my favourite characters from some other books.

But first I need to fangirl about the fact that BEN BARNES WILL BE THE DARKLING. Look I really don’t know how anyone expects me to root for Alina, Mal and Nikolai when the Darkling is Ben Barnes. I’m sorry it’s just not possible.

Team Darkling all the way.

And I will hear some of my favourite Darkling lines and Ben Barnes will be the one saying it! I. AM. DECEASED.

Also I am ready for all the Ben Barnes as the Darkling fanart. Send them all to me!

I apologise in advance to anyone who follows me on my social media because this is all I will be talking about on there. Especially as Ben is 38 so I can cry over him all I want without it being all creepy.

ANYWAYS back to why I started writing this post! Here are some of my fancasts:

1 Ranveer Singh as Muntadhir from The City of Brass – Look he is the only person I will accept as Muntadhir and there is nothing you can do to change my mind.

64883

2 Mena Massoud as Jamshid from The City of Brass – He has the cuteness down in exactly the way that I would imagine from Jamshid and I think he would be great playing Jamshid.

3 Margot Robbie as Aelin from Throne of Glass – I think she could pull of Aelin’s confidence and sass and look amazing being a badass assassin!

4 Cengiz Coskun as Cassian from ACOTAR – Look you need to watch him be his badass self in Ertugul and then also be head over heels over his fiancé. He also rocks a man bun and I can seriously see him being a great Cassian.

5 Keke Palmer as Winter from The Lunar Chronicles – I think she could be really great as Winter

6 Matthew Daddario as Azriel from ACOTAR – Look there is no way anyone else can be Azriel in my mind.

7 Lana Condor as Linh Cinder from The Lunar Chronicles – I think she could make a great Cinder especially with her short hair cut!

8 Saoirse Ronan as Victra from Red Rising – Victra is a badass and I think she could portray her really well

10 Deepika Padukone as Laia from An Ember in the Ashes – In my head Laia looks really similar to Deepika so I think she would make a great Laia!

11 Aishwarya Rai as Nahri from The City of Brass – I think she would do such a great job as Nahri!

So here are my fancasts! Let me know what you think! Who would you fancast as your favourite characters?

Character Crossovers

Have you ever wondered what characters would do well in a different world? Would they thrive? Would they fit in with those group of characters? What if we swapped two characters from different books?

Well as I was thinking about this I actually realised that I think several characters would survive pretty well if they were swapped. So of course I had to write a blog post about it!
So here are some characters that I think would do well if they were swapped into each other’s stories!

1 Kaz Brekker from Six of Crows and Artemis Fowl from the Artemis Fowl series – Look I firmly believe that Artemis is a younger version of Kaz so obviously they would be able to swap quite well into each other’s lives. Imagine the havoc Kaz could wreak with Artemis’ fortune!

2 Inej Ghafa from Six of Crows and Zafira Iskander from We Hunt the Flame – Both badass women who are deadly with weapons and have questionable taste in men. I mean they could easily be deadly sisters, wow, just imagine if they fought alongside each other. They would be lethal!

3 Cress from The Lunar Chronicles and Kady Grant from Illuminae – Both super smart computer geeks who have to work under exceptional circumstances.

4 Darrow from Red Rising and Alizayd Al-Qahtani from The City of Brass – Both of them fight for injustices happening to their people and both have a knack for being reckless. They are both lethal with weapons and all I’m saying is that if they became allies they would make a pretty deadly team.

5 Elias from An Ember in the Ashes and Okami from Flame in the Mist – They have both reluctantly been made into something they don’t want. Yet they still retain their humanity and battle daily with their violent side.

So here is my character crossovers! Let me know what you think and who you think would do well in each other’s stories!

Friday Favourites – Favourite Side Characters

This is hosted by Something of the Book who created this tag out of a love for lists. There are different topics for us all to be able to take part and you can find the prompts here. There isn’t a specific number of favourites so it’s entirely up to you how many you share. You can share your most or least favourites too!

I often end up loving the side characters as much, if not more, than the main characters. I would love to see some of them get their own books or novellas or even a point of view! Just give me more of them! So here are some of my favourite side characters!

1 Sevro Au Barca from Red Rising – I loved him from the moment we meet him and I loved his friendship with Darrow. I’m kind of scared to read Iron Gold because I can’t cope if anything happens to him.

2 Clara from Ayesha at Last – She is a wonderful friend to Ayesha and is actually the one to introduce Ayesha to Khalid. I loved her relationship with both of them and how much she supports Ayesha and I loved her story arc too.

3 Lubayd from The Kingdom of Copper – Look he was Alizayd’s first proper friend and I love their friendship so much! He protects and supports Ali even more than Ali realises and I just love them.

4 Despina from The Wrath and the Dawn – She is a badass and I just wanted to see more of her. Give me more please!

5 Yasmine from We Hunt the Flame – She is a wonderful friend and sister to Zafira and honestly we do not get to see enough of her. I am hoping we get to see more in book two!

6 Ilsa from This Savage Song – Another character that I adore yet we don’t see nearly enough of!

So these are some of my fave side characters!

Let me know your faves too! Who do you wish you could see more from?
