Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Book Tag

I was tagged by the lovely Jaqueline over at The Pufflehuffle Kitteh (you should all go check out her blog). I love Fantastic Beasts so I’m super excited to do this tag! So lets get to the questions!

If you had a fictional job, what would it be? And why?

I would love to work in the Hogwarts library or any magical library! I mean it would be so cool to have access to all the books!

Nifflers love beautiful shiny things. What book did you buy because it had a beautiful cover?

So many! Circe is probably one of the most beautiful books I own, even the naked cover is stunning!

Credence – Name a favourite character who is a tortured soul

Kaz Brekker! He is THE tortured soul. He just needs a hug he deserves some love.

Bowtruckles are one of Newt’s smallest creatures. What is the smallest book on your tbr list?

Hmm probably The Hobbit. The version I own makes the book seem really short and a quick read but I just haven’t gotten to it yet.

Graves – Name a character who turned out to not be who they seemed.

One of many is Raidan from Smoke in the Sun. I was really not expecting his character story to go the way it did. I was pleasantly surprised.

Erumpents are one of Newt’s largest creatures. What’s the largest book on your tbr?

The Mistborn books! They are huge! I read the first one and loved it but I still find them very intimidating.

Queenie – Which fictional character would you like to get inside the mind of?

Khalid from The Wrath and the Dawn. I seriously want to know what goes on in his mind.

Demiguise can see the future, unless someone does the unexpected. What book did you enjoy that was unexpected? Or name a book that turned out different to what was expected?

Most recently, Light Years. I had a completely different idea of what the book would be based on the cover. I thought I wouldn’t enjoy it but I actually loved it!

Jacob – what piece of food that you’ve read about, would you like to try in real life?

Anything Mrs. Weasleys cooks! Or something from Honeydukes. I always wanted to eat most things in the Harry Potter books!

Obscurials are feared in the wizarding world. What is the scariest book you’ve read?

I don’t tend to read scary books but The Loneliest Girl in the Universe is not a book to read at night.

Tina – Name a character who grows on you or you feel redeems themselves.

Tessa Gray from The Infernal Devices is someone I didn’t initially like but I did really grow to like her.

Swooping Evil – Which book would you like the reread for the first time if you could?

Six of Crows! I absolutely love this book and I really wish I could read it again for the first time. To read all the plot twists for the first time and just experience it all again.

Grindelwald – Name a character you grew to hate.

Rhysand. I know, I know, unpopular opinion but I did love him initially but by acofas I am so done with him and Feyre.

No Maj – Name a contemporary book that you think everybody should read.

I don’t read many contemporary books but one I really loved recently was Are We All Lemmings And Snowflakes? It has great mental health rep! I also recommend The Hate U Give, Moxie and Ayesha at Last. I loved all of them!

Book Tag: Books I’ll Never Read

So I saw this tag on Tinted Prose Reviews and I thought it would be fun to do!

1 A really hyped book you have no interest in reading

So I know everyone is going crazy over these books but I actually have no interest in reading Strange the Dreamer. I really couldn’t get into Daughter of Smoke and Bone because of the writing style so I doubt I will like this.

2 A series you don’t plan to finish

I really struggled to get through Daughter of Smoke and Bone and I have no interest in continuing the trilogy. I just didn’t find it interesting, at all. Plus the writing style just wasn’t for me it took me forever to get through the book and kept putting it down in between.

3 A classic you’re not interested in

Frankenstein and Dracula are just two of the many I have no interest in reading. They just don’t appeal to me. Classics tend to be a hit or miss for me in general. I either adore the book like Pride and Prejudice or even the thought of picking up a book makes me feel bleugh

4 A genre you’ve never or rarely read

Romance books! I hate it when fantasy or sci-fi books are heavy in the romance so it’s no surprise that I would never actually pick up a romance book. I cannot take reading a whole book about it!

5 A book on your shelves you’ll probably never actually read

Probably Wuthering Heights. I found the book second hand and it had a pretty cover so of course I had to buy it but I doubt I will ever get round to reading it.

Let me know your answers! And if you read this post consider yourself tagged!

Ramadan Readathon Book Tag

~*Mirrors and Windows*~

Name a book that you felt represented you or that you were able to relate to.

Does My Head Look Big In This by Randa Abdel Fattah. I loved the way the main character, Amal, has to deal with all that comes from living in the west and feeling the odd one out and sticking to her faith.

~*My Muslim Hero/Heroine*~

Name your favorite Muslim character and explain why.

The book this character is in isn’t by a muslim author but it still has great muslim rep! I love Samirah Al-Abbas from the Magnus Chase trilogy by Rick Riordan. She is strong and independent yet still holds on to her faith. She’s a complete badass and so unapologetically muslim.

~*Patience is a virtue*~

Name your most anticipated read by a Muslim author.

Reaper at the Gates by Sabaa Tahir! I have been waiting for this book for so long!

~*Muslim Scribe*~

Name your favorite Muslim author.

Sabaa Tahir and Aisha Saeed I love both of them! Don’t make me choose!

~*The Muslim Shelf*~

Recommend one book by a Muslim author that everyone should read.

As Amal Unbound is the most recent book that I read and cannot stop thinking about, I’m going to say that everyone should read it! It’s seriously amazing!

Really enjoyed this tag! Let me know what your answers would be!
