Friday Favourites

Friday Favourites – Favourite Authors

This was hosted by Something of the Book who created this tag out of a love for lists. Now Geeky is taking over the tag. There are different topics for us all to be able to take part and you can find the prompts here. There isn’t a specific number of favourites so it’s entirely up to you how many you share.

This weeks topic is sharing your favourite authors so I am going to share some new favourite authors who I discovered last year and some who are my all time faves!

First here are my all time favourite authors:

1 S.A. Chakraborty – Hands up who knew that Shannon would be number one!

2 Renee Ahdieh – I adore all of her books and haven’t stopped thinking about them since I read them.

3 Leigh Bardugo – I am trash for the Grishaverse especially Six of Crows I would die for the Dregs

4 S.K. Ali – I loved Saints and Misfits and then Love From A to Z just blew me away. I will read everything she writes

And these are some authors I only recently read and completely fell in love with:

1 Sandhya Menon – Excuse me but why has no one told me how amazing her books are?!

2 Hafsah Faizal – I need We Free the Stars so bad omg I loved her debut!

3 Nafiza Azad – The Candle and the Flame is the most amazing female empowerment fantasy book I read. This book is essentially women getting stuff done and breaking society stereotypes.

4 Yasmin Rahman – She gave me the mental health contemporary I craved including a Muslim MC who’s faith is important to her but not the only part of her.

5 Nadine Jolie Courtney – Her book is absolutely amazing and I literally spent all night reading it and sobbed because of the amazing Muslim rep.
