Wow this month has felt like a whole year, I didn’t think this month would ever be over but we finally made it! Aside from having a pretty decent reading month I haven’t been able to do a lot but I have painted lots of books to add to my etsy shop. You can see them here
I have also decided to take part in readathons which last all year. Beat the Backlist and Year of the Asian. I seriously need to read my backlist books more regularly rather than just new releases and I have wanted to focus more on reading books by Asian authors for a while so I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.
So the books I read this month:
Queen of Nothing by Holly Black – I still think these books are over hyped and Jude and Carden’s relationship is really toxic considering her bullied her for years.
Rating: 3/5
The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury – This is a book I have been meaning to read for a long time and I’m glad I finally did because I really enjoyed it!
Rating: 4/5
This Splintered Silence by Kayla Oslen – This was okay, it had a really great idea which could have been thoroughly creepy but I felt it didn’t quite deliver.
Rating: 3/5
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon – OMG I absolutely adored this book! It was sweet and adorable and absolutely hilarious! Review coming soon.
Rating: 5/5
Four Dead Queens by Astrid Scholte – This was a really interesting read and I was pretty much hooked throughout although I felt a little let down by the ending.
Rating: 4/5
As Kismet Would Have it by Sandhya Menon – This short story is absolutely adorable omg
Rating: 4/5
There Will Come a Darkness by Katy Rose Pool – Wow I really loved this book! It was so interesting and I was invested in all the characters story arcs! Review coming soon.
Rating: 5/5
Of Curses and Kisses by Sandhya Menon – This has become my favourite Beauty and the Beast retelling. No BatB retelling can top this. Review coming soon.
Rating: 5/5
A Heart so Fierce and Broken by Brigid Kemmerer – I was so disappointed by this book. Full review will be up in a few days.
Rating: 2/5
One of us is Next by Karen McManus – I really enjoyed this book and I loved seeing the group from the first book. Though I do think I preferred the first book.
Rating: 4/5
That Can Be Arranged by Huda Fahmy – Excuse me but this book is absolutel adorable and hilarious and so relatable and as soon as I finished it I wanted to read it again immediately.
Rating: 5/5
I also shared my reviews for these books:
Spellhacker by M.K. England
