Friday Favourites – Books Set In Space

This is hosted by Something of the Book who created this tag out of a love for lists. There are different topics for us all to be able to take part and you can find the prompts here. There isn’t a specific number of favourites so it’s entirely up to you how many you share. You can share your most or least favourites too!

This weeks post is all about books set in space! I love sci-fi books though I haven’t read as much lately so I’m going to share some that I absolutely love and some that I want to read soon!

So these are the books I read and loved and you should all go and read them:

1 Red Rising by Pierce Brown – I devoured these books in one weekend. I just could not put them down! They are so brutal and will leave you an emotional mess

2 The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer – I absolutely adore these books and these characters and I wish there was more stories in this world

3 Illuminae by Jay Kristoff & Amie Kaufman – another trilogy I absolutely adore and I wish we could get more in this world

4 Nyxia by Scott Reintgen – I really loved the first two books and I am hoping to get the last book soon!

5 These Broken Stars by Amie Kaufman & Meagan Spooner – I’ve only read the first book but I enjoyed it so I’m hoping to get to the rest soon

6 The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid – I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book!

7 The Disasters by M.K. England – this book is so much fun and so diverse. There is some really great Muslim rep which I loved seeing

I am also hoping to read these too, they sound really great:

1 The Long Way to a Small Angry Planet by Becky Chambers – I keep hearing really great things about the books but I still haven’t gotten to them but I really want to read it soon

2 Heart of Iron by Ashley Poston – I adore her Geekerella books so I’m looking forward to reading this too

3 Aurora Rising by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff – having loved the Illuminae Files I’m really looking forward to reading this

4 Skyward by Brandon Sanderson – I really love the Mistborn books so I’m hoping this is great too!

So these are some of the books set in space that I’ve read or want to read!

Do you like sci-fi books? What are some of your favourite books set in space?

  1. The Diabolic was amazing! but I DNF’d the sequel, I just wasn’t feeling it, especially as the first book functioned well as a standalone and it felt unnecessary adding more.

I’m glad The Disasters is getting some love in these posts! I’m talking up Dare Mighty Things all over the place, lol, but this was such a good read and it’s basically unknown, it makes me sad. also Contagion which has its sequel out next week, yay!
