Monthly Wrap Up

September Monthly Wrap Up

Hey booknerds! So another month has come and gone so that means it is time for the monthly wrap up! In September I had a really great reading month and read 15 books. And I actually loved most of the books that I read! I’ve also been re-reading a lot more lately and I am absolutely loving being back in my favourite worlds.

So here are the books I read this month:

1 Are we all Lemmings and Snowflakes? by Holly Bourne – I love the mental health rep in this book! I highly recommend everyone read this book. You can read my spoiler free review here

2 The Final Empire by Brandon Sanderson – wow I loved this book! The worldbuilding is amazing and I cannot wait to continue the series

3 The Last Magician by Lisa Maxwell – I read this book as part of a readalong and I loved the magic system and the heists and the plot twists! I am so looking forward to reading the next book. You can read my review here

4 Vox by Christina Dalcher – this book was chilling and it was scary how easily this could become reality.

5 Mirage by Somaiya Daud – I could not put this book down! I loved it so much! You can read my review here

6 Our Stories, Our Voices edited by Amy Reed – I enjoyed most of these essays and really related to several of them.

7 Vicious by V.E. Schwab – this was a reread and I loved it as much as I did reading it the first time!

8 Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs – I found I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would and I am looking forward to continuing the series

9 The Mime Order by Samantha Shannon – this book is amazing! I love the story and the worldbuilding and I am dying for the rest of this series!

10 To all the Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han – I was quite underwhelmed with the book having seen the film before I read the book and I actually prefer the film. Especially as Peter Kavinsky is not as nice in the book than the way he is in the film

11 No Fixed Address by Susin Nielsen – this was an arc and the story deals with homelessness which I felt was done really well.

12 – Winter by Marissa Meyer – I forgot so much of this story so I am so glad I reread it! I adore this series!

13 Wires and Nerve by Marissa Meyer – this is a graphic novel and although I didn’t enjoy it as much as the original series and I am still looking forward to continuing especially as I love seeing more of all of the characters

14 Adulthood is a myth by Sarah Anderson – I really loved the comics and it was so relatable and hilarious!

15 A History of Britain in 21 women by Jenni Murray – I really loved reading about these women especially as I had not heard of some of them.

So here are the books I’ve read this month and honestly I can’t choose which is my favourite book this month.

I also wrote a review for:

The Three Hares by Geoffrey Simpson
